Seasonal Activity Instructor
Required May – August

We are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic and competent individual to join our multi-activity team for the 2016 season on the Isle of Harris. The Scaladale Centre is situated on the border of Lewis and Harris with excellent access to the natural adventure playground surrounding it. The centre provides accommodation and activities for a range of clients with a predominant focus on schools and youth groups.

The main duties of the successful applicant will be to instruct and lead groups as
appropriate, to manage and set-up equipment and to assist with building and ground maintenance.

Salary £1100 per month

Start Date 1.5.16

Essential Criteria

• UKCC level 2 Kayak Coach Award, Single Pitch Award, a relevant water rescue award.

• Clean PVG check.

• Experience working in a similar centre and with youth groups.

• Driving License (D1 desirable)

• Valid First Aid

Full Time Activity Instructor

The Scaladale Centre is situated on the border of Lewis and Harris with excellent access to the natural adventure playground surrounding it. The centre provides accommodation and activities for a range of clients with a predominant focus on schools and youth groups. The successful applicant will have a remit to develop the work done by the centre in the tourism and guiding sector.

The main duties of the successful applicant will be to instruct and lead groups as
appropriate, to manage and set-up equipment and to assist with building and ground maintenance.

Salary £15-18000 PA dependant on qualifications.

Starting Date 14.3.16

18 month fixed term contract in the first instance

Essential Criteria

• UKCC level 2 Kayak Coach Award, Single Pitch Award, Summer M.L, A relevant rescue award.

• Clean PVG check.

• Experience working in a similar centre and with youth groups.

• Driving License with D1

• Valid First Aid
