We hold an Adventurous Activity License which has been issued by the Health and Safety Executive. This is known as an AALA License. Expiry 2026. This license allows us to work with groups of people under the age of 18 and deliver technical activities. We are fully insured by Activities Industry Mutual.
We provide activities for Schools | Youth Groups | Families | Couples | Individuals
We work with all ages groups and ability levels. Our staff are qualified, experienced and trained.
During 2025 we are very busy providing programmes for the young people of the Western Isles. We can provide activities for individuals and couples, but please call us to discuss your requirements.
Our most popular activities for visitors are sea kayaking and coasteering. We have a full fleet of closed cockpit, expedition capable sea kayaks. We also have a fleet of sit on top kayaks. We provide winter wetsuits for coasteering and gorge scrambling.

Family fun kayaking. We use double sit on top kayaks. This activity is very flexible and be tailored to suit all participants

During April and October we can provide more technical sea kayak guiding and trip options even include the Shiant Isles and the Flannan Isles.
Groups | Residentials | Activities (All year):
Scaladale is a fully equipped residential outdoor centre. We have up to date facilities and equipment. Residential trips are typically one to four nights long. Our programmes are focused towards developing essential life META skills. Our activities and residentials aim to provide opportunities to increase self esteem, communication skills and enable participants to increase physical skill and environmental awareness . Outdoor activities are a catalyst to achieve so much. We can also work with schools and other providers to deliver sessions and lessons with cross curricular links.
