It was so much fun skating with 8 dare devils from Laxadale yesterday; our first ice rink session of 2020! It really cheered me up to see them attempting into mad pirouettes and generally throwing shapes all over the place! There were a few bruises, but hey, it was well worth it!
The ice rink is available to hire at £60 per hour FROM NOW for up to 14 children with accompanying adults. The Tier 1 guidelines allow organised groups such as Church Groups and Brownies, Guides etc, as well as Youth Clubs, to use the rink as normal.
If your group is purely social, such as a Christmas or Birthday party, you will need to adhere to the 'maximum of 8 from 3 households' rule, but as you know, under 12s from those households are not counted in the overall total, so this may increase the size of your group up to our maximum, which is 14.
We have introduced a queuing system while you pick up your skates, and we ask you to maintain 2m social distancing between over 12s whilst doing this, and please wear your mask until your skates are fitted and you are ready to get on the rink!
We are going to keep our big barn door open, so the rink will be very well ventilated, but you will need to dress warmly, until you get hot from all that skating! Gloves must be worn, and thick socks are an advantage. Please book through our website.
